Relying on the Strong Market Demand of Vietnam's Electronic Manufacturing Industry
Vietnam has become a core node in the global electronic manufacturing industry and a major export country. From January to October 2024, the export value of computers, electronic products and parts reached 58.7 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 26.1%. Moreover, 90% of electronic industrial enterprises are established by foreign capital, with China being the largest source of investment. The trade volume between China and Vietnam has exceeded 1.6 trillion yuan, and Vietnam is China's fourth-largest export market and the largest market among developing countries. From the perspective of industrial development stage, Vietnam's electronic manufacturing industry is moving from the "lingering stage" (2019-2024) to the "further growth stage" (2025-2035): enterprises that have already set up factories are accelerating the reduction of production capacity in China and expanding production capacity in Vietnam, while undertaking more global trade orders, driving the rapid growth of local small and medium-sized assembly plants, and generating extremely strong demand for optoelectronic industry chain products.
From the perspective of segmented demand, the procurement preferences of Vietnamese factories are clear: 56% of them prefer to purchase from Chinese mainland first, and the core procurement categories are concentrated in optoelectronic components/wires and cables/testing equipment (47%), optical materials/instruments/camera modules (35%), laser equipment and processing systems (24%), optoelectronic display devices (22%), etc. Affected by factors such as "local procurement of more than 38% can obtain certificates of origin to enjoy tariff preferences" and "slow cross-border logistics (4-7 days)", the demand for local supply chain construction is urgent, providing Chinese optoelectronic enterprises with an opportunity to directly enter the market.
Accurate Supply and Demand Matching Capability and Exhibition Value System
The exhibition is positioned as a "one-stop display and procurement platform for the electronic manufacturing supply chain", focusing on consumer electronics, mobile electronics, new energy, smart home, medical equipment, automobiles and other fields. It not only covers core exhibits such as optoelectronic devices, optical components, laser equipment, optoelectronic displays and machine vision, but also extends to upstream and downstream products such as PCB/PCBA, SMT equipment, precision metal parts and factory supporting equipment, accurately matching the "full-chain procurement" needs of Vietnamese factories.
From the perspective of previous results, the 2024 exhibition (VIOE 2024) has achieved efficient connection: it attracted more than 100 exhibitors and over 4,000 visitors, including more than 100 leading factory buyers such as Samsung, Foxconn, Dell, Longcheer, Yidelong, Huaqin and Sunny Optical; 297 one-on-one accurate business matching sessions were organized, 76% of exhibitors achieved sales or obtained potential customers, 71% achieved brand promotion, and 53% found new international buyers.
The scale of the 2025 exhibition will be further upgraded. It is expected to set up 320 booths with an exhibition area of 10,000 square meters, attracting more than 300 exhibitors and over 7,000 visitors. At the same time, it will continue the full-cycle service of "pre-exhibition, in-exhibition and post-exhibition": pre-exhibition services include GSOL online member promotion (display of 100 product images), business inspection discounts and procurement matching opportunities; in-exhibition services include accurate one-on-one matching (exhibitors with 9㎡ booths are matched with 3 buyers, and exhibitors with 18㎡ booths are matched with 6 buyers) and KOL booth interviews; post-exhibition services include sharing exhibition reports and guiding the application for government subsidies, so as to maximize the value of participating in the exhibition.
