The Vietnam International Optoelectronics Exhibition 2025 was successfully held

As the only professional exhibition in Vietnam's optoelectronics industry, the 2nd Vietnam Optoelectronics Exhibition 2025 (formerly GEIMS & VIOE) successfully concluded at the ICE International Exhibition Center in Hanoi, Vietnam from November 20th to 22nd. Optical components are key parts for consumer electronics like smartphones and AR/VR devices, as well as automotive electronics such as vehicle-mounted cameras and LiDAR. In 2024, Vietnam surpassed India to become the world's second largest mobile phone exporter, following China. Statistics from Vietnam's General Statistics Office show that from January to May 2024, Vietnam's total exports of mobile phones and parts reached USD 22.4 billion, a year-on-year increase of over 11%.

Additionally, factors including the strengthened expansion of Chinese automobile enterprises and incentive policies introduced by the Vietnamese government have significantly boosted Vietnam's automobile sales. According to data from the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), its member companies' automobile sales increased by 14% month-on month to 44,200 units in November 2024. Driven by this, the demand for optical components in Vietnam's consumer electronics and automotive sectors is expected to be further released.
